The new 4 star Auckland Airport hotel will boast 150 rooms on one of the last freehold sites available along George Bolt Drive. When completed, the hotel will be one of the closest accommodation facilities to the Auckland Airport.
The hotel complex will cost $30 million and is scheduled for completion by the first quarter of 2011, just in time for the Rugby World Cup. Work on the hotel has already begun.
With 150 rooms Sudima Hotel Auckland Airport will be a mid-sized hotel, well placed to serve business and conference needs, in addition to those of tourists in transit. As well as an all day restaurant and elegant bar, the hotel will feature a dedicated ballroom, opening out to landscaped gardens, making it an all-season event venue. There will also be an inviting pool in lush surroundings and a gym with the latest fitness equipment.
The hotel will generate up to 150 new jobs and will incorporate the latest green initiatives.
